A documentary recounting Mexican American copper miners' struggle for justice in early twentieth century Arizona.

February 28 Real Women Have Curves (2002)

March 6 A Day Without a Mexican (2004)

A satirical look at what happens when all Latinos in California suddenly disappear.

March 20 Zoot Suit (1981)
Written and directed by Luis Valdez, starring Edward James Olmos and Daniel Valdez
The film version of Valdez's acclaimed play based on the Sleepy Lagoon murder trial and zoot suit riots in 1940s Los Angeles.

Poetas Y Pintores: Artists Conversing with Verse is a collaborative project featuring the work of both established and emerging poets as inspiration for the creation of original artwork, allowing Latino/a artists to enter into "dialogue" with the work of Latino/a poets. The exhibit sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts, initiated by the Center for Women's InterCultural Leadership at St. Mary's College and the Institute for Latino Studies at the University of Notre Dame, has traveled to New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles before coming to USU.
